Her anonymously named album “Susie Suh” has been on my playlist ever since i first heard it.
The first track I listened too was “Shell”, I believe it was in the OST for a TV series at that time.
However the track that draws me back to her music again and again is, “Recognition”
The lyrics are beautifully haunting:
“And I don’t know what to do about holding my head high
I am struggling to breathe through all these in between times
And I am wondering why
I am wondering why”
And the interplay of instruments captures the emotion of the moment so well.
Obviously I have wanted to get my hands on a physical copy of that album ever since i downloaded the first few mp3 files from LimeWire – Guess what arrived in my mail last week?
The physical CD of that same album.
Finally I’m able to listen to the music in higher quality (FLAC instead of 128kbp) and it’s like listening to all her music for the first time again.
