A Culture of Opposition

The greatest challenge we face as progressives is that the criticisms and corrections we bring up against the Ministry of Health seem ineffective and unwelcome because the institution of government in eSwatini is a non-participatory one.

It cares not for accountability and even less for the concerns of the very taxpayers that fund its operations.

However we shan’t despair, we will continue voicing our displeasure and putting forward our ideas; because when each of us speaks out against royal hegemony and the absence of good governance, we are cultivating a culture of holding our leaders to task.

A culture of questioning and examining decisions taken by the executive branch, and were possible putting forward solutions and suggestions that care for the needs of the many, not the few.

That culture is necessary for a good democracy to thrive.
We do this to not just better our present condition, but as an investment in the future republic.
