I was very upset when I received this vinyl in the post.
It was sent through USPS (already a bad sign) and the signed sleeve was damaged.
I didn’t play the record – I put it away.
Now, weeks later I have taken it out again.
The damage is still there, but I read the note inside the sleeve:
“Invisible Love, that’s what you are.
A drop of water merging with the stars.”
A moment of mindfulness and the anger dissipates.
The vinyl record itself is (thankfully) undamaged.
It’s time to put it on the turntable and bask in the starlight of Susie Suh’s music.
